Pale Meridian is operated by Arctolith Interactive Ltd., a software company registered under applicable digital entertainment law. This Privacy Notice governs how we collect, process, and safeguard personal data in connection with your use of the Pale Meridian application and associated services. By accessing the game, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Notice.

We collect information you provide directly, including account registration details such as username, email address, and device identifiers. We also collect technical data generated automatically during gameplay, including session timestamps, progression metrics, device operating system version, and crash diagnostic reports. No sensitive categories of personal data — as defined under applicable data protection legislation — are intentionally solicited or required to operate the game.

Collected data is used exclusively to authenticate your account, maintain save-state integrity, deliver software updates, and diagnose technical faults within the application. Aggregated and anonymised gameplay statistics may be used to improve game balance and environmental design within the Pale Meridian roguelike framework. We do not sell, lease, or trade personal data to third parties for advertising or profiling purposes.

Personal data may be disclosed to trusted technical service providers — such as cloud infrastructure and analytics vendors — solely to the extent necessary to operate and maintain the game. All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements that prohibit independent use of your information. Account data is retained for the duration of your active account plus a period of thirty-six months following account closure, unless a shorter period is required by law. Diagnostic and technical logs are retained for no longer than twelve months from the date of generation. Upon expiry of applicable retention periods, data is permanently and irreversibly deleted or anonymised.

If personal data is transferred to jurisdictions outside your country of residence, we implement appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses approved by relevant supervisory authorities. Such transfers occur only where necessary to provide core game functionality and are subject to equivalent levels of data protection. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may hold rights including the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, as well as the right to object to certain forms of processing. Continued use of Pale Meridian following the effective date of any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Notice.
